Academy Rules & Etiquette
A family-focused, fun, safe, and positive training environment.
At Ambassadors of the Art, we are more than just an academy—we are a family-owned business and a community. Our mission is to create a welcoming, safe, and positive space with a sense of belonging where athletes of all ages can grow in skill, confidence, and character. By following these rules, we ensure a fun and respectful learning environment for everyone.
GENERAL RULES
Respect & Community
Respect Everyone – Treat everyone with kindness and courtesy. "The Golden Rule"
Encourage, Don’t Discourage – Lift others up. We are all here to learn and grow together.
Lead by Example – Higher belts and adults set the tone for younger students—show sportsmanship, patience, and encouragement.
Family-Friendly Atmosphere – No foul language, aggressive behavior, or negativity. We keep our academy safe and welcoming for all.
Clean & Safe Environment
Good Hygiene is a Must – Shower regularly, wear clean gear. A healthy gym starts with good habits. Keep our training space clean.
Nails - For BJJ & MMA Classes, nails must be trimmed.
Footwear on the Mats – Only wrestling & boxing shoes allowed on the mats; they must be cleaned with our provided disinfected spray and wiped down prior to stepping on the mats.
No Training While Sick – If you have a cold, flu, or any skin infection, stay home and rest. Your health and the health of others come first.
Clean Up After Yourself – Dispose of trash properly, wipe up spills, and help keep the academy in great shape.
Food - Only in the Reception Area.
Fun & Positive Development
Arrive on Time – Punctuality shows discipline. We understand that unforeseen events may happen in life; if you are late, please notify the instructor prior to jumping into the class.
Celebrate Effort, Not Just Wins – Every step forward is a victory. Hard work, perseverance, and consistency lead to success.
Enjoy the Journey– Learning any skill takes time. Have fun, stay patient, and trust the process.
Be a Team Player – Help others when you can, and always train in a way that makes your partner better too. Iron sharpens Iron.
Respect All Ages & Skill Levels – Whether beginner or advanced, young or old, we all have something to learn from each other.
